Walking with Charlie
Talk by Stephen Lord
Culloden Battlefield Visitor Centre. Cost £5
Stephen Lord, author of ‘Walking with Charlie: In the footsteps of the Forty-five’ will speak at Culloden Battlefield Visitor Centre. About 20 years ago, Steve undertook the task of walking the whole route of the Jacobite army as it advanced from Loch nan Uamh to Derby and then withdrew to Culloden. He then followed the Prince’s route to the Western Isles, back to the mainland before his final escape to France. Steve will concentrate on some of the more interesting aspects of the walk and will consider the motivation of Prince Charles as he undertook this difficult journey.
